Many years have passed since the glorious victory over Voldemort and his death eaters. Dark Wizards grow more and more powerful every day, regrouping behind new leaders. After Kingsley Shacklebot, weak ministers have been succeeding at the head of the Ministry of Magic, unable to face this rising threat. Subsequently to several attacks all over Great Britain by a group of mysterious foreign Dark Wizards who are seeking to take over the country, unable to ensure the safety of Hogwarts students, the Ministry decides to close the Wizarding School and to send the pupils back home, where they will supposedly be in less danger. Fear is omnipresent in the magic community, these new dark times bringing up the still unhealed scars left by the terrors of the Second Wizarding War.

Forced to react, the ministry finally appoints a man of action at its head, in the person of Jeremy Rufford. With tremendous effort and numerous sacrifices, the minister, with the help of his Aurors, succeeds in halting the enemy’s rise to power. Then, he decides to reopen Hogwarts, choosing Anton Devon, a long-term member of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, as headmaster.

However, the trouble is far from over. The dark wizards, taken by surprise by this new resistance, return to hiding, but only to come up with new plans for the future. Rumors are spreading about the discovery of a new weapon that would grant them terrifying power. Despite the ministry’s attempt to show that the situation is under control, few are the parents who let their children come back to the place that was once considered the safest in the wizarding world, and even fewer are the professors brave enough to teach there, making it a vulnerable target for the enemy. Is Hogwarts really safe?
